HabboCivil: an online role-playing game, from zero to 1,000+ players
Co-founder of a role-playing server on Habbo: a team of 20+ volunteers to recruit and coordinate, three versions of the game, 1,000+ players.
1,000+players gathered over more than three years- 1
Context
Habbo was a busy virtual world between 2005 and 2015. I co-founded HabboCivil with a childhood friend to introduce role-playing to players who had never tried it.

What I did
I ran the product and the team: recruiting, training and coordinating more than twenty volunteers, settling conflicts, keeping the rules and articles up to date, building partnerships with other servers. With a web developer, we built the site (hosting, security, player tracking). I also designed the game's economy, with a salary system and skills reviews for the administrators, and I kept the project's accounts.

What came out of it
A community of more than 1,000 players over more than three years, and three successive versions of the game. That is where I learned to recruit, to animate and to arbitrate, which I now find again in running customer communities.
